At today's session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a conclusion which stipulates that all adult citizens of our country can send fiscal receipts and credit card slips from October 15 in order to participate in the new round of the Get the Receipt and Win 2020 prize game.
Like the previous two times, the prize game is organized in order to counter shadow economy by raising awareness and motivating citizens to pay cashless and take fiscal receipts with each purchase, since only then can they be sure that the trader operates in accordance with the law and pays taxes from which healthcare, education and other public services are financed, which is more important than ever during a pandemic. The organizer of the prize game is the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and support is provided by NALED.
The prize game criteria are the same as previously. It is necessary to pack 10 fiscal receipts or 10 slips (must not be mixed) of individual value of at least 100 dinars in an envelope, no older than September 1, 2020. Envelopes of any color, size or shape can be used, as long as they fit in the mailbox. When addressing the envelope, it is necessary to write GET THE RECIPT TO WIN 2020 on the front page. On the back of the letter it is obligatory to write a name and last name, address of residence from a personal document, as well as a phone number. Sending envelopes is free of charge, and the Post of Serbia takes care of keeping them until the prize game formally starts.
Citizens are invited to take care of their health and respect all epidemiological measures when participating in the prize game, and prepare envelopes at home and to put them in the nearest mailbox without holding and waiting in line. An additional way to protect themselves, but also to double their chances of winning, is to pay cashless whenever possible because that way they avoid direct contact with the seller and banknotes.
Detailed rules of the prize game will be published in a timely manner in the media and on the www.uzmiracun.rs website, in accordance with the Law. The first draw is expected in late November, and the valuable prizes are waiting for responsible citizens this time as well - 60 cars and 12 apartments in Belgrade. This time as well, a competition of cities and municipalities in the number of sent receipts will be organized, and the most active local communities will share a total fund of 180,000 euros for projects of public importance as chosen by citizens.
The organization of this prize game is one of the activities proposed by the National Program for Countering Shadow Economy, based on the positive experiences from previous years. According to NALED’s research, in the previous round of the prize game – Get the receipt to win 2018, 41% of Serbian citizens participated, directly or through family members, who sent more than 107 million fiscal receipts and slips, with a minimum estimated value of 37.4 billion dinars. The prize game also had a positive impact on tax culture, given that citizens sent 55% more reports to the Tax Administration for non-issuance of fiscal receipts compared to the same period prior to the prize game, while non-cash payments increased by 18.8%. More than a third of the citizens pointed out that the prize game encouraged them to take fiscal receipts, and 42% to participate in such an action again.
The latest information about the prize game will be regularly published on the www.uzmiracun.rs website, and a contact center is also available to citizens via email at kontakt@uzmiracun.rs for all additional questions and support.
