NALED representatives, Executive Director Violeta Jovanović and President of Managing Board Vladislav Cvetković participated in the 23rd Belgrade Economic Forum.
Jovanović held a conversation with the Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, in which they looked at the key results in this department and highlighted further priorities in terms of restructuring the EPS, improving the procedure for obtaining a connection and further involving citizens in green transition programs. Cvetković participated in the panel on ESG standards where he spoke about the challenges for sustainable financing and responsible use of resources as a contribution to reducing costs and increasing efficiency, as a basis for growth and sustainability.
NALED also organized panels on the topic of tourism as a pillar of local development and financing of sports.
As part of the discussion on tourism, it was pointed out that according to research by the National Tourism Organization of Serbia, events are the first motive for the arrival of foreign tourists to our country. Manifestations and festivals such as Exit Festival, #BelgradeBeerFest, Nišville Jazz Festival and Guče make a strong impression as a foundation for the promotion and branding of cities and regions and enrich the tourist offer of Serbia, which is increasingly becoming recognizable as a festival destination.
In a dynamic panel on the topic of sports financing, the justification of public investments in sports infrastructure and their sustainability through the need to commercialize the content and professionalize the staff were discussed. The need to direct allocations from local budgets to amateur and recreational programs as well as group sports for girls was highlighted.
