The Property and Urbanism Alliance has formulated 20 measures to support the construction industry and the infrastructure and transportation sectors so as to mitigate the negative effects of the Coronavirus on one of the most vulnerable business sectors.
The proposed measures are aimed at extending the validity of construction permits, organizing the emergency services’ work and the functioning of CEOP (the procedure for implementing an integrated electronic permits issuing procedure), delaying deadlines for taxes and contributions payments and implementing safety measures for workers at construction sites.
NALED also proposes abolishing one lane for passenger vehicles, which move considerably less during the state of emergency, to ensure faster scarce goods and foodstuffs imports and to facilitate truck movement.
As the situation develops, members assembled in the Property and Urbanism Alliance will regularly update proposals and keep the relevant institutions and the public informed.
