The President of the Municipality of Mionica, Boban Janković, the Director of the Presidency at Atlantik Group, Zoran Daljević, and the Senior Manager for Government Relations at Philip Morris International, Dragana Vujko, have been honored with the titles of NALED’s Most Outstanding Members for 2024. This recognition came from a pool of over 350 companies, local governments, and civil society organizations, as announced at the September Gathering held at the White Palace.
The awards were presented by Vladislav Cvetković, Chairman of NALED’s Board of Directors, and Nikola Vuletić, a member of NALED’s Executive Board, in the presence of Ana Brnabić, President of the National Assembly, and all employees of the Executive Office, led by Director Violeta Jovanović.
Jovanović expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for being part of this celebration of unity and all the good we have achieved together for Serbia. The 18th birthday is always a reason for a grand celebration, but also an opportunity for a bit of sentimentality and a chance to express thanks to everyone who has contributed to the formation and development of the organization.”
In the category of Development Leaders, Dragana Vujko from PMI was recognized for her immeasurable contribution to the development of startups and innovation in Serbia through NALED. She is noted for her composure, perseverance, and creativity, which she is willing to dedicate for the benefit of the community in which she lives and works. She played a key role in conceptualizing and launching two pioneering projects in Serbia—Startech and PMInnovia—through which PMI, in collaboration with NALED, provides non-repayable financial and expert support to entrepreneurs, innovators, and researchers to develop their ideas and patents, improve their business operations, and market their products and services. She actively advocates for reforms and promotes Serbia as a country of innovation. Her significant support to the organization is reflected in the many nominations she received from colleagues in the Executive Office for this recognition.
In the category of Business Leaders, Zoran Daljević from Atlantic Group was awarded for his contributions to dialogue, cooperation, and initiatives of the Fair Competition Alliance, of which he is President. Proactive and engaged, he has transformed formal meetings into anticipated gatherings and built a sense of unity and respect among members. He generously shares his extensive corporate experience and knowledge with the NALED team and the wider business community, prioritizing the common interest over individual gain. He is an enthusiastic advocate for the Alliance’s initiatives and the fight against the informal economy, serving as its spokesperson. His special sense of humor makes working on tough reforms easier and more enjoyable. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Alliance he leads, a milestone that includes Zoran’s contributions in its history and successes.
Boban Janković, the head of the Municipality of Mionica, who has grown and shared the vision of efficient public administration with NALED, received the recognition for Most Outstanding Local Leader. As one of the founders of the Club of Cities and Municipalities with a Favorable Business Environment (BFC Club), he is dedicated to improving living conditions for his fellow citizens, attracting investor interest, and gaining support from decision-makers for his area. Ambitious and free-thinking, he has rapidly transformed the image and development trend of Mionica. Always ready to stand by NALED and support the implementation of our initiatives for the promotion and development of municipalities and cities in Serbia, he follows the words of the famous Vojvoda Mišić from his region: “He who dares, can. He who knows no fear, moves forward.”
