In light of the extraordinary circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that we are all facing, NALED's Healthcare Alliance has defined a proposal for 15 emergency measures for the performance of the healthcare system and submitted them to the competent institutions today.
The proposed measures aim at facilitating a faster supply of necessary protective equipment (masks, gloves) and disinfectants to the market, speeding up the procedures for importing the necessary medicines and raw materials for producing medicines and disinfectants, avoiding medicine shortages in the countries of the region, as well as the urgent transition to issuing electronic sick leave notices.
In addition, NALED proposes to amend the Decision on the Prohibition of the Export of Medicines (32/2020-4, 33/2020-3) in order to allow a smooth export of medicines to the markets, primarily to Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. These are regular medicine deliveries for various chronic conditions (diabetes, cardio-vascular and oncological conditions) initially planned for these markets.
As the situation develops, NALED will update the proposed measures. We invite all NALED members to become involved in defining additional proposals for a better performance of the healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic and to submit their suggestions through the contact form.
